US Automobile Industry Resurgence and Jamaica's Bauxite Industry - Scrap Metal Industry Renaissance

The Sea! The Sea! The Open Sea!

It appears that the much predicted Year of the All-Electric Vehicle is occurring on schedule, albeit quietly as suggested in the article “Can auto Industry reclaim industrial supremacy?”, published Sunday October 9th 2011 by Dennis Morrison, The Jamaica Gleaner. This as The Jamaica Gleaner analyst Dennis Morrison reports a rise in US auto sales of GM (General Motors) by 9.9% in September along with increased vehicle production.

The increased activity represents an 11% increase over the same Third Quarter Sales for 2010AD and is the highest level since 2007AD, when the first signs of the US Recession reared its head. Curiously, the Automobile Industry in the rest of the world is on the decline, still yet to show any signs of recovery. This means that the Automobile Industry in the US of A is recovering with possible strong demand for metals to make lighter Flex-Fuel and All-Electric Vehicles.

So it looks like my prediction of 2011AD being the Year of the All-Electric Vehicle as per my blog article entitled “Alternative Energy and All-Electric Cars - the Next must-have Gadget for 2011” is coming to pass. This after having been bailed out in2009AD by US President Barack Obama as per my Geezam Blog article entitled “The American Race towards Alternative Energy“.

As Dennis Morrison points out, this may be a boon to Jamaica, as it means that there is a coming resurgence in the Bauxite Industry as Aluminium is needed to make lighter frames for these All-Electric Vehicles thereby extending the driving range under battery power alone. A Big boost to the ruling JLP Government and their now self-evident 2.1% growth in the Macro-Economy for the Third Straight time in this the Third Financial Quarter of 2011AD as per the report in the article “Jamaica's Economy Grows by 2.1% in Second Quarter”, published FRIDAY, 07 OCTOBER 2011 15:58, JIS.

But more can be done pre-Election 2012AD!

Flex-Fuel Vehicles and All-Electric Vehicles may soon be coming to Jamaica when the much needed changes are made to the Sulphur content of Diesel fuel to bring it in line with International standards as per my blog article entitled “ATL Automotive to benefit from Low-Sulphur Diesel in 12 Months Time - Bio-Fuels Resident Evil Apocalypse”. This as Diesel and Gasoline prices show no sign of coming down while Alternative Energy sources beckon and older Used Vehicles are banned from importation as Used Vehicle parts shortage looms a per my blog article entitled “All-Electric Vehicles and Jamaica - Downfall”.

A curious cycle that indicates that International pressures of Supply and Demand also in effect in the US of A are in effect forcing Used Vehicle Dealers to start offering Flex-Fuel and All-Electric Vehicles with the option to swap old Used Vehicles for the new ones, effectively Old Lamps for New, Aladdin Style.

Thus with this coming demand for Aluminium will also come a demand for Rare Earth Metals from which Jamaica can profit, as we are a dumping ground for all manner of electronic gadgets that contain Rare Earth Metals which can be mined from our very garbage. Such as Lithium as per my blog article entitled “NSWMA can benefit from coming Lithium Demand from All-Electric Vehicle - The Beverly Hillbillies go Electric”.

Revenue from Gold Mining is also a viable option that the Government of Jamaica can pursue as conclude in my blog article entitled “AUSJAM and the Pennants Gold Mine Rush - King Solomon's Mines in Clarendon”.

In the process of tapping in to this increased demand for Metals, the ban on Scrap Metal Export as now implemented  post my blog article entitled “LIME and the Ban on Copper Exports - Scrap Metal Industry's Black Swan” may be lifted pre-Election 2012AD to sustain the economic growth. This restart of the Scrap Metal Industry would be under greater Government of Jamaica scrutiny and control to prevent the previous abuses that led to its shutdown.

Scrap Metal Industry Renaissance may be coming to take advantage of the coming boom in the Automotive Industry in the US of A as Americans go Flex-Fuel and All-Electric Vehicles. Particularly those with Range Extender Technology and Jamaicans follow in the next two (2) years as per my blog article entitled “Alternative Energy and Range Extender Technology - Jamaica to Rhaatid” and the article “Alternative Energy and All-Electric Vehicles - The Harder They Come, Jamaican Style”.

This if the recommendations of my blog article entitled “ATL Automotive to benefit from Low-Sulphur Diesel in 12 Months Time - Bio-Fuels Resident Evil Apocalypse” are taken into consideration.
