How to download Music using Index Query in Google Search Engine

If you’ve read my blog article on how to download Music using torrenting Software as detailed in my blog article entitled “How to download High Quality Music via torrenting - The Mortal Instruments City of Bones used to get Free Music”, you may be wondering if there is an easier way to download JUST MUSIC.

After all, and I’ll admit, you don’t have to go through all that to download YouTube videos; you can use Savefrom as described in my Geezam blog article entitled “How to download Videos from any website without installing software using Savefrom”. So by that token, there must be an easy way to download music and using Google to boot.

Turns out there is indeed a way to get Music for free from a Google Search Engine!

I was reviewing an old blog article I’d written about using Google Search Engine more effectively aptly entitled “How to effectively search using Google while Researching your articles” when I’d realized that it showed a simple way to locate music files in Archives.

After all, for Music files or Videos to be downloaded, it has to be stored in a Cloud Drive somewhere in a manner similar to I’d described in my blog article entitled “How to use Dropbox, Google Drive and Sound File Sharing Websites to Share and Promote your Content online - Sharing is Caring”.

Super Large Cloud Drives may just simply be a collection of a large number of Free Cloud Drives managed using JoliCloud as described in my blog article entitled “How to create and manage a 100GB Virtual Cloud Drive including Google Drive and Dropbox - My 100GB+ Cloud Drive Dream as the popularity of my blogs is Hunger Games Catching Fire”, if you’re a really smart Website Administrator.

So in the next few slides I’ll Detail how you can download Music using Google Search Engine and a simple command String.

How to Download Music online – Google Search Engine sniffs out indexes loaded with Music

First, open your Browser and type Google.com to bring up the Search Engine Provider’s Web interface. Then type the following command in the Google Search Engine as shown below:

intitle: “index.of" (wma|mp3|mp4|midi) [name of the song, album or artist]

Note that you replace [name of the song, album or artist] with what you’re searching for. You can modify and play with the parameters in the SQL String to fine tune exactly what you want to find in these large indexes.

In the list that comes up, you’ll see references to “index of”, the target of the SQL (Structured Language Query) String to target such indexes of music stored in the Cloud or on Servers. In this example, I was searching for Lady Gaga. I clicked on the one at the very top and got lucky with an index loaded with Lady Gaga’s songs from her first Album Fame. 

To download the songs, right click on the songs and open in a new Tab in your Browser or hold down Ctrl and click with your mouse.

It will open up a music playing interface in the new Tab and will immediately start playing the song, effectively streaming. Since you don’t want that, now would be a good time to turn down the volume or risk disturbing others around you!

Once you have that music playing interface, which differs from Browser to Browser, right click on the music Bar and select Save Audio As to save the music file. At this point it’ll start downloading to the file location that you’ve selected on your computer.

Congratulations! You’ve just used Google Search Engine to access an unlocked Music Archive and download Music for free.  The main problem with searching indexes is predictability; you can’t really control what you find. Still, it’s free and with practice you can fine tune the SQL String to get better results!
