Fellow
Jamaicans, are you feeling Lucky? No I’m not talking about Google!
Rather
I’m referring to the whopping Supreme
Ventures Limited Super Lotto Prize which has no
ballooned to some JA$261.5 million as stated in “Super
Lotto at historic high”, published Monday, September 22, 2014 3:24 PM, The Jamaica Observer.
1.
JA$1 billion paid out since game
inception in August 2009
2.
979,000 Jamaican players have won a
share since then
3.
JA$81 million paid out since the start
of 2014
4.
196,000 Jamaicans players have won since
the start of 2014
And
according to Vice-President of Group Corporate Communication at the Supreme
Ventures Limited, Sonia Davidson, this is the biggest Lottery prize in
Jamaica's history, both for Super Lotto or the regular Lotto.
SVL Super Lotto History
– Highest prize in Lotto or Super Lotto in Jamaica’s History
The
last time the Supreme Ventures Limited Super
Lotto Prize was this high was on Tuesday September 28th 2011 when a
man from the parish of Manchester purchased a JA$150 ticket and won JA$232.2
million as stated in J'can
hits Super Lotto jackpot!”, published Wednesday, September 28th,
2011 The Jamaica Observer and the
article “Super
Lotto jackpot won in Jamaica”, published Thursday, September
29th, 2011, the
Antigua Observer.
The
winning numbers were 5, 11, 20, 22, 31 and the Super Ball number was 8. He’d
purchased these numbers with a JA$150 split prize ticket.
Had he
purchased a JA$250 full prize ticket, he’d have won the whopping sum of JA$387
million as noted in my
blog article entitled “Supreme
Ventures Limited and the JA$232.2 million Super Lotto Winner - Pointer Sister's
Automatic”. So technically his winnings of JA$232.2 million
stands as the highest anyone has won in Jamaica from Supreme Ventures Limited Super
Lotto.
A few Jamaicans
have won it since then, mainly from the rural parishes in Jamaica as chronicled
briefly in my blog article entitled “3rd
Jamaican wins JA$186 million Super Lotto Prize yet to collect prize - How to
win Supreme Ventures Limited Super Lotto as Hansel and Gretel Witch Hunters
wait till March 28 2013”.
As for
regular Lotto, the largest prize ever won was by fifty four (54) year
old Farmer Mr. S. Gayle from Manchester who won a JA$240
million Supreme Ventures Limited
Lotto prize, which he eventually claimed on April 1st 2010 as noted
in the article “$240 million
jackpot claimed”, published Thursday April 1st 2010, The Thursday Star.
Back
then Mr. S. Gayle took
so long for to come forward that I even posited the idea of an Alert System for
winners to alert them that they’d won as noted in as noted in my blog article entitled “Supreme
Ventures and Mobile Phone Platform for gambling”. This as by the rules of
the Supreme Ventures Limited
for both the Super Lotto and the Lotto Games, you have a total of ninety (90)
days in which to claim your winnings.
If
you haven’t done so, the unclaimed winnings gets turned over to the BGLC (Betting,
Gaming and Lotteries Commission) and the GOJ (Government of Jamaica) CHASE Fund
as explained in my blog article entitled “Supreme
Ventures Limited no longer takes half of unclaimed Lottery Winnings - SVL
Scaled back their promotions and sponsorships thanks to Sabotage by the greedy
GOJ”.
History
thus has a chance of being repeated and erased if someone in Jamaica decided to
purchase a JA$250 full prize ticket or a JA$150 split prize ticket and win. Either
way, that’s over JA$100 million dollars worth of prize money in a game that’s
played by 9 different Caribbean countries including Jamaica!
Super Lotto Statistics – How to
win the Supreme Ventures Limited Super Lotto
For the
math oriented, the total number of combinations winning Super Lotto numbers is
1,947,792, due to having 36 numbers and 6
positions to play. You can thus easily write a computer algorithm to generate
all the numbers, but in order to win you’d have to purchase at least 50% of
them, costing you a whopping JA$243,474,000 if you purchase the numbers for the price of a JA$250 full prize ticket
to win the full prize.
An
alternative strategy is to form a Lottery Pool and play the numbers as a group.
You have a higher likelihood of winning as not only would you be playing a
fixed list of numbers that the group would agree to consistently every single
draw, but along the way you’d be more likely to win one or two huge payouts
like a “Pardner” draw as Jamaicans are wont to say!
No matter how you play it currently, you still have to eventually make
up your mind to purchase either a JA$250 full prize ticket or a
JA$150 split prize ticket to have a chance of winning.
BGLC to introduce Internet
Gambling - Modernize Lotto payouts with Mobile Money
Eventually,
the smartphone toting-Jamaicans may be able to play the various Lotto Games via
a smartphone App as noted originally in my blog article entitled “Supreme
Ventures and Online Gambling - The Return of the King”.
This is
actually the plan of the BGLC to modernize the game and thus earn foreign
exchange from Internet Gambling or i-Gaming to Jamaicans as
explained in my blog article entitled “BGLC
to introduce i-Gaming via smartphones - i-Gaming heralds Supreme Ventures
Mobile Money Cashless Society dipping directly in Church Tithes”.
Thus
smartphone toting Jamaicans would be allowed to make bets and make arrangement
to collect their winnings via Mobile Internet on smartphones i.e. Apps, by
making Voice Calls and via SMS (Short Messaging Service), as
currently you can get information on the winning numbers a Supreme Ventures Limited
Smartphone
App that’s available on the Apple iTunes Store and the Google Play Store.
In
that future, you may be able to even collect your winnings via Supreme Ventures Limited own a Mobile
Money Platform or a third-party Mobile Money Platform such as Alliance
Financial Services Limited's ePay Prepaid Card as described in my blog article entitled “Alliance
Financial Services Limited's ePay Prepaid Card – Barbarian at ScotiaVisa and
NCB's Gates as Mobile Money will spark Cashless Society”.
Folks,
do you wanna be a millionaire? That’s really up to you as you‘ve gotta be in it
to win this Super Lotto Prize of JA$261.5 million!
