Dr. Henry Lowe and BTRDI Team discover Guinea Hen Weed active against HIV - Chikungunya Virus Treatment potential as Dr Lawrence Williams Cancer Cure also kills HIV

Looks like Dr Henry Lowe and his BTRDI (Bio-Tech R&D Institute) Team are at it again with yet another cure for HIV (Human Immuno-Deficiency Virus), the causative agent behind AIDS (Acquired Immuno-deficiency Syndrome).

This time the extract is coming from the Guinea Hen Weed (Petiveria Alliacea) which has been show to be active against HIV i.e. it kills the virus on contact as stated in the article “Anti-HIV activity claimed for Jamaican Guinea Hen Weed”, published Monday, October 13, 2014 8:55 PM, The Jamaica Observer.

Guinea Hen Weed (Petiveria Alliacea) has Dibenzyl Trisulphide (C₁₄H₁₄S₃ )  and Astilbin as its active ingredients along with thirty four (34) active phyto-chemical compounds that can also be extracted from the plant. These extracts were the focus of Dr Henry Lowe and his BTRDI (Bio-Tech R&D Institute) Team.

For those who love reading Journals, it got published in the European Journal of Medicinal Plants in an article entitled “Petiveria alliacea L (Guinea Hen Weed) and its major metabolite dibenzyl trisulfide demonstrate HIV-1 reverse transcriptase inhibitory activity”.

This comes as quite a surprise to me, as it was only earlier in August 2014 that he’d found active ingredients against HIV in the extracts of the  Lignum Vitae is the National Flower of Jamaica as detailed in my blog article entitled “How Dr. Lowe Lignum Vitae Extract is the Equivalent of Melittin in Bee Venom for AIDS Treatment”.

Even more surprising is that it builds on the research of Dr Lawrence Williams, a Jamaican Biochemist who as far as I am aware, still works at the SRC (Scientific Research Council).

Specifically it fights the following diseases:

1.         Arthritis

2.         Digestive disorders

8.         Alzheimer's Disease

9.         Parkinson's Disease

10.     Ageing (yes you read that right!)

So yet another potential cure discovered by Dr Henry Lowe and his BTRDI (Bio-Tech R&D Institute) Team. Unlike the extract from the leaves and bark of the Lignum Vitae Tree, Guinea Hen Weed (Petiveria Alliacea) is already consumed by Jamaicans for a variety of ailments.
