@digicelbarbados has Rollover 4G Mobile Data – Why 4G Mobile Rollover has come to Save the Data in Barbados

“We are always looking for ways to bring our customers added value and we have done this most recently with a strong focus on our Data offerings. Last year we introduced the unrestricted use of Facebook and Instagram on a set of plans and then followed this up with unrestricted Whatsapp, giving our customers the freedom to use their Data quotas for other purposes such as streaming, downloading, paying bills online, etc. Now with Rollover Data we are enabling them to get the full use of what they’ve paid for.”

Marketing Executive with Digicel (Barbados) Limited, Randy Howard on the introduction of Rollover Data

Looks like Digicel has been watching the T-Mobile Super Bowl XLIX Commercial where Kim Kardashian West exhorts you to Save the Data so that you can see more of her.

Rollover Data is finally here, or at least in Barbados as announced on Wednesday February 11th 2015 in the article “Digicel customers will never lose unused Data again”, published 2/11/2015, The Barbados Advocate  and “Digicel launches rollover Data”, published 11/02/2015, Loop News.

Strangely, Digicel has released no YouTube videos on their Digicel Barbados YouTube Channel, Digicel Barbados Twitter channel, albeit it was mentioned on Digicel Barbados Facebook page as shown below.

In fact, it wasn’t even mentioned on their Digicel Jamaica Twitter Page or even their Digicel Jamaica Facebook Page or on the Digicel Jamaica Youtube Channel, indicating that Barbados may be just simply the last country to get Rollover data.

Also, there is no Press Release ANYWHERE, meaning that this is just an announcement that was captured by only two (2) News organizations, The Barbados Advocate  and Loop News in Barbados.

Digicel Barbados has Rollover Data – 4G Mobile Rollover in Jamaica now in Barbados

Good to note that Jamaica has always had Rollover Data on all 4G Mobile Plans as per the 4G Mobile Prepaid Price Plans as listed on Digicel’s Website.

This features means that Digicel Barbados customers can auto-renew their Data Plans and have their unused Data plans added to the New Data Plan. More interestingly, once a customer upgrades or downgrades to a new Data Plan, the unused Data from the previous plan will be added to that New Data Plan.

This applies to Data Plans being offered for 4G Broadband Data Plans, Blackberry Data Plans and 2G Data Plans, which are still in use as noted in my blog article entitled “Digicel's JA$70 Data Plans vs LIME's JA$50 Data Plans - How to choose 3-Day and 30-Day Data Plans in Jamaica”.

So when will this be coming to Digicel Jamaica?

Rollover Data would be great for many customers who have always lamented about the loss of those few kilobytes of their Data Plans that are left unused after the Plan expires.

Plus, we Jamaican would love to see Kim Kardashian's latest outfits, even play her game Kim Kardashian: Hollywood as noted in my blog article entitled “Glu Mobile's Kim Kardashian Hollywood App - Anatomy of How an A-List Celebrity based App propels In-App Purchases”.

Digicel, please, help Save the Data in Barbados, as we in Jamaica already have Rollover Data!
