Apple and the iPad 2 - Honeycomb, Chrome and the DragonSlayer

Why Man, he doth bestride the narrow world
Like a Colossus, and we petty Men
Walk under his huge legs and peep about
To find ourselves dishonorable graves

Google Nexus S made its surprise debut on Monday December 6th 2010, but in more muted and less market shake-up ambition-driven tones as per the article “Google mobile head says Nexus One too ambitious”, published Tuesday December 7, 2010 12:20 am ET By RACHEL METZ, AP Technology Writer, Yahoo! News (http://news.yahoo.com).

As I am not crazy about phone specs as Kirk, Administrator of the Geezam blog for which I am a guest writer has laid out on his article entitled “Google and Samsung introduces the Gingerbread powered Nexus S”, his article gets straight to the point. NFC (Near Field Communication), a rebranding of RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) will render Credit Cards obsolete as per the article “Alliance heralds era of smart phone wallets”, published Tuesday November 7 2010 by Glenn Chapman, AFP, Yahoo! News (http://news.yahoo.com), itself a trend worthy of another blog article in the future on the Geezam blog.

Additionally, the similar chipset in the Samsung made Google Nexus S and the Foxconn assembled Apple iPhone 4 cannot escape my notice, as Samsung, armourer to both Google and Apple respectively, is also a maker of their own consumer products as opined by the article “iPhone 4, Nexus S - Rivals with a common core”, published December 6, 2010 10:48 PM PST by Brooke Crothers,  Nanotech - The Circuits Blog - CNET News, (http://www.cnet.com).

The most notable products from Samsung in the Telecoms field being its rather lukewarm Samsung Galaxy Tablet now on million (1,000,000) units sold  as stated in the article “Samsung puts Galaxy Tab sales at one million”, published Friday December 3, 2010 1:58 pm ET by Barry Levine, newsfactor.com, Yahoo! News (http://news.yahoo.com) and its red hot Samsung Galaxy S smart phone, now three million (3,000,000) units and counting as per the article “Samsung ships 3 million Galaxy S smartphones”, published December 3, 2010 8:04 AM PST by Don Reisinger, CNET News - The Digital Home, (http://www.cnet.com).

So with the excitement now building for the launch of the Google Chrome Smartbooks as prognosticated by my blog article entitled “Google Chrome Press Event - Naked Gun 33 and a Third The Final Insult” at 10am EST, Tuesday December 7 2010, the attention must decidedly turn back to Apple and their Apple iPad versions 2.

According to reliable sources, the Apple iPad 2 is slated for a February 2011 launch based on speculation by CNET Report Stephen Musil on a DigiTimes Report which suggests that Foxconn, Apple’s assembler, is ramping up to crank out about six hundred thousand (600,000) of the White Unicorn 2 as stated in the article “Report: iPad 2 to ship next February”, published ,  Tuesday December 7, 2010 by Steven Musil, Apple - CNET News (http://www.cnet.com). Worse news awaits the competition that is yet to even begin treading water against the Apple iPad’s dominance.

The much rumoured White Unicorn 2 may be packing not one (1) but two (2) cameras and not one (1) but two (2) chipsets to decode GSM (Global System Mobile) and CDMA (Code Division Multiple Access) Networks and possibly sporting two (2) USB ports, enabling the Apple iPad 2 to be truly Network agnostic and a real world-ready tablet as per CNET Erica Ogg’s article entitled “iPad 2.0: New Design, manufacturing process?”, published November 19, 2010 11:17 AM PST by Erica Ogg, CNET News - Circuit Breaker, (http://www.cnet.com) and confirmed by the article Report says Apple iPad 2 to have 2 Cameras, USB port”, published Friday November 26, 2010 11:43 am ET by Dan Nystedt, Yahoo! News (http://news.yahoo.com) – at least in the US of A.

Two (2) of everything is always good, plus it is my favourite number. Based on Erica Ogg’s analysis, Video Calling via FaceTime now all the rage with the larger screen would make this two (2) camera prediction very likely and the integration of a dual-code chipset on the Apple iPad falls into the pattern of logic that Apple CEO Steve Jobs seems to be following when he decided to place the Apple iPad on Telecom Provider Verizon’s CDMA Network, albeit it really was a response to the coming blitzkrieg attack by the Samsung Galaxy Tablet as opined in my article on Administrator Kirk’s Geezam blog entitled “Samsung Galaxy - Apple iPad's Contender for the Christmas”.

Currently the only Telecom Provider that supports or for that matter even markets Mobile Video Calling in Jamaica is Telecom Provider CLARO, which like Telecom Provider AT&T in the United States of America, is also the exclusive carrier of the Apple iPhone, albeit no mention has been made of the Apple iPad Wi-Fi or Apple iPad Wi-Fi + 3G, possibly as the Mexicans are not too eager to carry the early adopters device just quite yet, waiting rather on the Jamaican guinea pigs to put on their crash test helmets and begin developing an appetite for having another product from Apple, Video Calling and the Apple iPad itself, especially as Jamaican are not known to like Touch-centric devices.

However, interest in the Apple iPad must be building among the Young and the Restless [affluent and professional working people] in Jamaica, who may be interested in having the iconic device, as per my blog article entitled “CLARO and Data - Improvements for the Summer and Christmas of 2010”. This is in much the same way that they were the Early Adopters of the Apple iPhone when it came to Jamaica on Telecom Provider CLARO’s Network and the All-Electric Vehicles, based on the Rare Earth Metals Crisis as opined in my article on Administrator Kirk’s Geezam blog entitled “Chinese Crisis in Rare earth Metals: Afghanistan is Silicon Valley's Savior”.

If the speculation by CNET News Reporter Erica Ogg is true and bear fruit, then by February 2011 prepare for more long lines as the 10” DragonSlayer, as per the movie and the book, will kill the Samsung Galaxy Tablet dragon quite easily, as it could potentially be launched on Telecom Provider AT&T and T-Mobile (GSM Networks) and Telecom Provider Verizon and Sprint (CDMA Networks) in a blitzkrieg attack in the USA that would, if the prices are maintained even on all four (4) carriers, decimate all dragons coming, whether their OS is as sweets as the Android 3.0 aka Honeycomb or as shiny and new as Google Chrome.
