Watch sales seem to on their way up, if the Analysts are to be believed.
Apple
Watch sales have now hit almost 3 million sold thus far, according to research
firm Slice Intelligence as reported in the article “Apple
Watch sales reach 2.8 million, with bands a profitable add-on, report says”,
published June 18, 2015 by Don Reisinger, CNET
News.
Their
figures are based on analyzing email shopping receipts for online shoppers,
20,000 of whom had purchased an Apple Watch since they began being shipped to
customers on Friday April 24th 2015 as noted in my blog article

Apple
has now relaxed their initial policy and have reverted to a “reserve and pickup”
purchase option as noted in the article “Apple
Watch can now be reserved for in-store purchase”, published June 17, 2015
by Lance Whitney, CNET News.
Apparently
American, British and Australian purchasers like the Apple Watch and can't be
bothered with a double-visit to do a fitting and then wait for it to be shipped
to their homes.
So
it's safe to say sales have been brisk, with Apple barely managing to keep up
with demand as noted in my blog article
entitled “Apple
Watch is Apple Most Successful Product – How to sell a Wearable and beat
fitness Trackers and Android Wear Smartwatches”.
Apple
has not commented on Apple Watch sales, even during Apple WWDC (World Wide
Developer Conference) 2015 on Thursday June 2nd 2015.
However,
they did release an updated version of Apple Watch OS for developers dubbed
Apple Watch OS 2.0, with more bells and whistles as detailed in my Geezam blog article entitled “Apple
WWDC 2015 debuts OS X 10.11, Watch OS 2.0 and Apple Music”.
So
how did this latest analyst calculate their figures? And what else does their
Analysis reveal?

Intelligence, extrapolated from these figures to calculate the rate of purchase
to determine this figure as reported in “Exclusive:

LOVE, Reuters. They also analyzed the
figures to determine the most popular version of the Apple Watch.
They
determined the most popular Apple Watch, which from stat appears to be the
Apple Watch Sport with a black band. The Apple Watch Sport with a white band
was the second most popular.
Together
they both accounted for 65% of all Apple Watch sales.
However,
Apple seems set to make revenue from the sale of wrist straps. The Black Wrist
Strap was the most popular, accounting for 30% of sales, with the Milanese Loop
coming in Second.
Makers
of third-party Wrist straps and even modifications, like this Apple Watch Fob,
basically the Apple Watch on a keychain made by Fashion Designer Tom Ford as
reported in the article “Apple
Watch pocket watch is modern old-timeyness at its best”, published June 22,
2015 by Eric Mack, CNET News, help to sell
the Apple Watch by making it customizable to suit their personal
preferences.
Apple Watch set to beat all
Smartwatches combines – Apple Watch King of Wearables in 2015
So
even without official sales figure, analysts have basically predicted that
sales of the Apple Watch will have beaten those of the Fitness Trackers as well
as all other smartwatches as noted in my blog article

Monitor Xiaomi No. 2 as Apple Watch to dominate Smartwatch segment by Q4 2015”.
Even
analyst Strategy analytics predict Apple owning 54.8% of the Wearables market
with 15.4 million Apple Watches shipped as noted in the article “Apple
Watch to nab over half the smartwatch market”, researcher predicts,
published March 5, 2015 by Don Reisinger, CNET
News.
That
would totally eclipse and surpass the 12.7 million units of smartwatches from
all other makers of Wearables combined, making Apple King of Wearables.
