Apple Watch delays on Pre-Order Day – Apple Watch Edition sold by Celebrities and Third Party Wristbands

Since the 24th of April 2015 when the Apple watch Pre-order were slated to start arriving at the doorsteps of those who ordered them around the world as I’d expected in my blog article entitled “Apple Watch pre-orders sold out until June 2015 - How 1 million served equals Pebble Watch 2 years Sales in How to Sell a Wearable”, many have realized that it may not come on that date.

However, as I’d predicted in that article, the Apple Watch had been so oversubscribed that pre-orders were backed up until as far as June 2015.

This resulted in very few persons who’d ordered their Apple Watch and Apple Watch Sport from not getting their ordered on Friday April 24th 2015 as noted in the article “Waiting for the Apple Watch: A less than luxury experience”, published 24 April 2015 by Shara Tibken, CNET News.

However, if you’re a barbarian who likes waiting in freezing cold lines like most Americans who aren’t European-ized the best place to go in and buy an Apple Watch is at one of the less crowded boutiques Stores around the World that Apple has entrusted with selling the Apple Watch as reported in  “Want an Apple Watch on Friday? Head to a luxury boutique”, published 24 April 2015 by Steven Musil, CNET News

Apple Watch delays on Pre-Oder Day – How to sell a wearable is by Celebrities wear the Apple Watch Edition

The Apple Watch Edition, which costs upwards of US$10,000, however, was another story.
As this version of the Apple Watch was priced out the reach of the common man, it was apparently still wasn't as valuable to the 1% of the Society that's normally used to buying luxury Swiss Wristwatches in the US$100,000 and up.

So many of them who got their Apple Watch Edition before the Pre-Order delivery date also decided to up the ante by adding even more precious minerals and metals to customize their Apple Watch.

One such example is recording artiste Beyonce Carter, who decided to have her Apple Watch Edition tricked out in 18-Karat Gold, both the Watch body as well as the Wrist strap as noted in the article “Beyoncé is wearing a gold Apple Watch band that you can't buy”, published April 20, 2015 By Chris Welch, The Verge.

She’s not the only one though; other famous celebrities in the United States and around the World spotted wearing various customized versions of the Apple Watch Edition or the Apple Watch Sport include artiste Katy Perry, German fashion designer  Karl Lagerfeld and Star Wars director J.J. Abrams as noted in the article “The standard $12,000 Watch Edition isn’t expensive enough for Beyoncé”, published April 22, 2015 By Andy Boxall, DigitalTrends.

Don't be alarmed; these Apple Watch Edition are most likely gifted to these celebrities to “rock” them in public, based on how the pictures were taken and posted. All done to generate buzz and thus sell more units of the pricier and higher profit margin Apple Watch Edition!

This is not to say that Beyonce and her pals didn't splash real money for the Apple Watch Editions., but it's more likely they're really a part of Apple Marketing push to sell more of them.

Apple and Third Party Wristbands – Instructions for Developers to Customize the Apple Watch

Still, for those of you that want to have an Apple Watch like Beyonce and the other celebrities, you have not much longer to wait. Apple has decided to allow Third Party Designers to make Wrist Straps for the Apple Watch as reported in the article “Get ready, aftermarket Apple Watch straps are on the way”, published May 5, 2015 By Andy Boxall, DigitaslTrends.

They’ve created a special website called Creating Bands for Apple Watch that gives guidelines for Third-Party Designers to make Wrist Straps that match the Apple Watch as noted in the article “Apple sets guidelines for creating Apple Watch bands”, published 5 May 2015 by Lance Whitney, CNET News .

This is very similar to the Third-party accessory makers who make accessories for the Apple iPhone and is a clear indication that Apple is getting serious demand for the Apple Watch. Customization, after all, is what Apple is promoting.

Making the Apple Watch customizable will drive more American to adopt an Apple Watch and the trend towards Wearables replacing smartphones as prophesied in my blog article entitled “Google Glass Designer Isabelle Olsson puts Leopard frames on Google Glass - Smart + Sexy = Smexy glasses Katy Perry Roar for Tablet and smartphone Extinction”.

Hopefully, they'll come out with better versions with a longer Battery Life as that's really the only problem I can find with the Apple Watch. Issues about durability relate to personal handling and care, Based on these announcements coming out of Apple, it would appear that many true Apple fans aren't watching the naysayers and are voting with their wallets.
