Alternative Energy and All-Electric Cars - Wargames
To see the world in a grain of sand,
And a heaven in a wild flower
To hold infinity in the palm of your hand
And eternity in an hour
Blake, Auguries of Innocence
All-Electric Vehicles are coming to the United States of America as the must have gadget in the Summer of 2011, a fact that is a sure as rain this Hurricane Season in Jamaica. Believe it or not, folks! Senator Barack Obama, President of the
believes in them. United States of America
He believes in them so much, that the Obama Administration is betting big on the high rollers table, pumping billions of taxpayers money into All-Electric Car or EV research, specifically into battery technology development as stated in the article “Obama: Clean energy's Venture Capitalist-in-Chief”, published August 5, 2010, 5:00PM EST By Mike Dorning, POLITICS & POLICY, BusinessWeek in a bid to create jobs in the Technology Sector and spur the spirit of research.
This “spirit of Research” is now long exported to foreign lands as stated in the article “The Other U.S. Energy Crisis: Lack of R&D”, published June 17, 2010, 12:01AM EST by Peter Coy, POLITICS & POLICY, BusinessWeek and echoed article “America's Green innovation Problem”, published May 3, 2010, 4:41PM EST By Rob Atkinson and Devon Swezey, BusinessWeek – VIEWPOINT.
A chief criticism echoed by ZDNET author Jason Hiner as stated in the article “Is the American tech industry Oiling its own guillotine?”, published August 30,2010,7:00am PDT By Jason Hiner, ZDNET - Between the Lines.
Heck , he is even building roads for them, more votes – ah, that is to say, jobs (not CEO Steve Jobs!) – for Americans out of work, ostensibly for the new All-Electric Vehicles to drive on as stated in the article “Barack Obama announces $50bn infrastructure plan”, published 6 September 2010 18:15 GMT , BBC World News.
President of the United States of America, Senator Barak Obama ‘s attempts at restraining the Oil Industry by having a six (6) month moratorium placed on Offshore Oil Exploration as stated in the article “Obama: End dependence on fossil fuels”, published Wednesday June 2010, By JULIE PACE, Associated Press Writer, Yahoo! News.
A Moratorium that was being hamstrung by the very same American Courts, most likely on Big Oil’s payroll as stated in the article “Judge blocks Gulf offshore drilling moratorium”, published Tuesday June 22, 2010 By MICHAEL KUNZELMAN, Associated Press Writer, Yahoo! News and confirmed by the article “Big Oil Strikes Back, slams Obama’s drilling plan”, published June 22 2010 by JANE WARDELL and JENNIFER QUINN, Associated Press Writers, Yahoo! News, was an event played out well in full view of a Media hungry for sensationalism.
But was it a clever distraction for the Middle East Interest’s nervously looking on? John Public puts on his political hat and takes a walk down the corridors of power in
His ploy has worked well, as, the Obama Administration has the backing of the American Public and a skeptical John Public, appalled at the degree that Big Oil will go to secure money, damaging the fragile ecosystem.
Which luckily, uncommitted voters in the form of bacteria closely related to Oceanospirillales family made a meal of as stated in the article “New microbe discovered eating Oil spill in Gulf”, published Wednesday August 25, 10:32 am ET,By RANDOLPH E. SCHMID, AP Science Writer, Yahoo! News
They consume very little oxygen as stated in the article “Major Study charts long-lasting Oil plume in Gulf”, published Friday August 20, 2:18 am ET By SETH BORENSTEIN, AP Science Writer, Yahoo! News.
A boon to Dr. Terry Hazen’s research team, Energy Biosciences Institute, a mash up of the University of California, Berkeley and the University of Illinois, Nobel Prizes in Biochemistry no doubt coming as soon as the sequence the genome of this latest tax delinquent for BP and the Government of the United states of America, who ironically were footing the ten (10) US$500 million - and probably want their money and Oil back.
Lets hope the Republican rabble rousers are just as convinced as stated in the article “Obama to introduce another business tax cut”, published Saturday August 7 2010 By Ed Henry, CNN Senior White House Correspondent, CNN News, for which early signs are encouraging.
House Minority Leader John Boehner, (R-Ohio) on CBS “Face the Nation” feigned strong Republican support for the Obama led Administration if there is decisive support for what effectively amounts to an extension of Bush-era tax cuts for ALL Americans as corroborated by the article “Obama tax plan gaining traction?”, published Monday September 13 2010, CNN News.
So what is new here for me to be writing another political rehash? It is already established that Senator Barack Obama needs Republican support. Not to mention our Prime Minister of Jamaica, is basically copying the Americans in getting the People’s Republic of China to fix roads as a means of securing a sure election victory as stated in the article “JDIP will boost economy - Golding”, published Monday, September 13, 2010 BY GARFIELD MYERS Editor-at-Large, South/Central Bureau, The Jamaica Observer, despite acrimonious internal political wrangling.
Turns out that the Obama Administration has a more compelling reason to move away from a Fossil Fuel dependent Economy towards a All-Electric Economy, or Electron Economy as opined in the article by Dr. Ulf Bossel in his published paper entitled “Why a Hydrogen Economy doesn't make sense”, published December 11 2006, PhysOrg.com.
It has to do with the fact that the
United States of America, by virtue of its purchase of Oil from Middle East interest, may in fact, ironically, be funding state terrorism against its sovereign homeland. At least that is the way that the US Military and the British Military seems to be looking. Recent news seems to indicate a definitive push towards the use of Alternative Energy to power their weaponry and battle systems.
There is the development of their fuel-cell powered spy plane back in 2009 by the American Military contractors readily comes to mind as stated in the article “Fuel efficient spy plane for sale”, published August 6, 2009 7:51 AM PDT by Candace Lombardi, CNET News - Planetary Gear and the British developed Phantom as stated in the article “Phantom Eye 'spy plane' unveiled”, published Thursday July 15 2010, BBC News rounds out the list of likely suspects.
The record setting Zephyr is also in the list as well, Qinetiq Company wunderkind that wowed audiences at the Farnborough International Airshow in July 2010 AD as stated in the article “'Eternal plane' returns to earth”, published 23 July 2010 last updated at 14:48 GMT, Science and Environment, BBC News
This after breaking the record for the longest unmanned, un-refueled flight with a time of three hundred and thirty six hours and 24 minutes (336 hrs, 24 min), beating out the thirty hour and twenty four minutes (30hr 24min) unmanned, un-refueled flight set by Northrop Grumman's RQ-4A Global Hawk in 2001 and even the manned, un-refueled flight in the Voyager a bicycle/solar powered flight by Dick Rutan and Jeana Yeager in 1986 of two hundred and sixteen hours (216 hrs).
Andre Borschberg became the first person to pilot a manned un-refueled solar plane through the night as stated in the article “Solar 24-hour test flight starts”, published Wednesday July 7th 2010, BBC News which ended successfully as stated in the article “Solar plane's night test success”, published Thursday July 8th 2010, BBC News a foreboding of things to come.
Then an engineering student, Todd Reichert, of the University of Toronto finally made Leonardo da Vinci stand up and cheer, powering himself with just his manual labour to flight in the ornithropter aptly named “snowbird” as stated in the article “Student flies like a bird, powered only by himself”, published Thursday Sep 23, 2010 3:48pm PDT by Jerry James Stone, TreeHugger, Yahoo! News.
Even the fuel-guzzling High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicle (HMMWV aka Humvee) is going Green as stated in the article “Hybrid Humvee coming up over the horizon”, published November 5, 2009 10:35 AM PST by Candace Lombardi, CNET News - Planetary Gear.
Boeing, a long time US Military contractor, is already setting their designs on Satellite Deployment using unmanned un-refuelled forever flying UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicles) as stated in the article “Boeing eyes five-year flight for solar plane”, published September 16, 2010 11:16 AM PDT by Lance Whitney, CNET News - Cutting Edge.
Space tourism is also part of Boeing’s long term vision as stated in the article “Boeing plans to start space tourism flights by 2015”, published September 15, 2010 9:10 AM PDT by Tim Hornyak, CNET News – Crave
Solar Sail technology enables lower earth orbits and potential cheaper satellite deployment as stated in the article “Solar Sails could allow New Orbits for Satellites”, published Sunday August 15, 9:47 am ET Zoë Macintosh, SPACE.com Staff Writer, SPACE.com fro Yahoo! News.
Raytheon is getting in on the act, recently successfully field testing a directed-energy weapon (read “Laser”, like Austin Powers - The Spy who Shagged Me (1999), with fingers for quotations) that they had been developing for the Navy since 2007AD.
It is based on a modification of the Ship based Phalanx, an anti-missile system with its distinctive “R2-D2” shaped Radar Tracking system as stated in the article “Laser ship-defence test a win for Raytheon, Navy” published Friday, June 4, 2010 12:00 am by David Wichner, Contact Assistant Business Editor, the Arizona Star. My blog article entitled “Telecom Providers and Raytheon - Star Wars on the high Seas” fills in the blanks!
But the smoking gun and what John Public would claim is the clearest indication of the US Military aim came when little known Bio-fuel company Solazyme, which specializes in making Bio-fuel using patented algae that can converts sugars into any commercially available fuel, be it Jet Fuel to diesel, was able to secure nearly US$52 million in ensure capital funding as stated in the article “Solazyme raises $52 million for algae fuel”, published August 9, 2010 7:17 AM PDT by Martin LaMonica, CNET News - Green Tech.
This was after delivering nearly one thousand, five hundred (1,500) gallons of Jet Fuel ordered by the U.S. Navy for testing and certification.
It appears that move went well, as now not only have they delivered another twenty thousand (20,000) gallons of their Jet Fuel to the U.S. Navy as stated in the article “U.S. Navy buys 20,000 gallons of algae fuel”, published September 15, 2010 10:36 AM PDT by Candace Lombardi, CNET News - Green Tech.
But it is now evidently clear, as Candace Lombardi, a freelance Blogger for CNET, points out: US Military has ambitions plans to wean itself off its current dependence on Oil from the
Middle East. This may be because of published report back in 2009 by the Center for Naval Analyses with the John Hancock of twelve (12) former Generals and Admirals all over it. US
Effectively, this report is selling the idea that
purchase of Foreign Oil is a transfer of wealth that, albeit going to a sovereign nation, may inadvertently be fuelling not only terrorism but possibly nuclear proliferation. America
But it is their solution that blows my mind away.
The report suggests that the US Military go Green to reduce this flow of money out of the America Economy into the hands of its enemies, simply put. Clever devils these Americans! The question begs though, why did this not occur to them back in the 1970’s or foreseen when President George W. Bush was punch drunk with lust for Iraqi Oil?
More questions than answers, typical of politics, but the funding of the Bio-Fuels Sector by Senator Barack Obama, President of the United States of America in a bid to find alternatives to the taxation of corn-based ethanol as stated in the article “'Green' gas and Diesel get boost in Biofuel grants”, published December 4, 2009 12:33 PM PST by Martin LaMonica, CNET News - Green Tech from 2009 should have made everyone aware that this was the plan from the get-go, as American were apt to say.
So not only is the Obama Administration trying to decouple their economy from their current Dependence on the People’s Republic of China’ cheap manufacturing and cauterize the loss of job overseas, he is also in a bid to reduce American funding of terrorism against America Homeland Interests and the Middle East via the purchase of their Oil.
Automakers, in a bid to appear “progressive”, may in short order begin integrating solar panels and other technology into cars, such as All-Electric Drives as stated in the article “AMP to develop electric SUV prototype for OEM”, published September 14, 2010 3:53 PM PDT by Liane Yvkoff, CNET News - The Car Tech blog.
A historical first for the Automobile history! This not only lowers MPG and emissions, complying with Federal Emission standards and garnering much needed tax breaks to spur the purchase of the “Transformers” by the Summer of 2011!!
It will also put a few hundred thousand American Autoworkers to the clock, retrofitting cars with ergonomically aesthetic solar panel installations. That is a few hundred Americans at work, in exchange for Federal Tax Breaks. This is not mentioning the millions that will be employed to retrofit vehicles to use flex Fuel engines on the proviso for Tax breaks from the Federal Government to Automobile companies.
Clever Indeed! Emission and MPG (Mile Per Gallon) regulations that punish Automakers for making cars that have lower than expected emissions and mileage standards and give rewards in the form of subsidies to Consumers and Automakers to encourage the adoption of All-Electric Vehicles this coming summer of 2010 as intoned by the article “Will 'fun-factor' or mandates drive electric car sales?”, published March 6, 2010 1:56 PM PST by Martin LaMonica, CNET News - Green Tech are also part of the plan, now solidifying clear like molten amorphous crystals of silica glass.
The United States of America is going Green, saying ta-ta to Foreign Imported Oil from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and create employment all in one (1) Fiscal Year, with a second ride being an All-Electric Vehicle parked in every garage as opined in the article “The Electric car might be the perfect Second ride”, published August 3, 2010, 4:35PM EST By Ed Wallace, WALLACE'S WORLD, BusinessWeek.
But is this a push towards Strategic WarGames (1983) credit to the movie that launched Matthew Broderick career, using Oil as a pawn, much in the same way Russia is using its Natural Gas as a pawn against EU and Baltic States?
Stay tuned………………This is John Public signing out for the night………..
