NetMarketShare Stats shows Windows 8.1 and Internet Explorer poised for Growth - Rising Tide of the Microsoft Surface and Windows 8.1 Tablets in Real-Time

Windows 8.1 is on the move gentle people!

And it’s not just good news for Microsoft Surface and the coming demise of the Apple iPad as I’ve predicted in my blog article entitled “Apple rumoured to be making a Laptop sized Tablet with a Built in Keyboard - Windows 8 Microsoft Surface and Chromebooks Barbarians after Bill Gates Rising Tide”. It’s also a herald for the Rise of the 7” Windows 8 Tablets in 2014 as predicted in the article “Forget Surface. Microsoft's new iPad rival is the Windows 8 tablet”, published November 13, 2013 4:00 AM PST by Richard Nieva, CNET News.

Windows 8, now refreshed as Windows 8.1, the new Operating System which I’d written off as being too much like the Xbox 360 that’s missing a Start Button in a world where most people just wanna get some work done, is now poised to be the Fourth most popular on the Planet as reported by Operating System analyst NetMarketShare in December 2013 as stated in “Windows 8.1 closes in on Vista among desktop OS users”, published January 2, 2014 5:03 AM PST by Lance Whitney, CNET News.

The NetMarketShare website displays a real-time constantly updating Graph that shows the global adoption of Operating Systems on Laptops and Desktops across the Globe. Here’s a live feed from NetMarketShare:

As you can see from the Stats, Windows 8.1 is gaining on Windows Vista. Windows XP is still in No. 2 Position, have been beaten by Windows 7 back in September 2011 according to the Stats from Statistical analyst StatCounter as noted in my Geezam blog article entitled “Windows 7 trumps Windows XP for Pole Position – Windows 8 Cloudy Future”.

It also explains why Internet Explorer 11 is now slowly gaining traction, which according to NetMarketShare was 4th Position in December 2013 as stated in the article “IE 11 snares 10 percent of desktop browser traffic”, published January 2, 2014 5:47 AM PST by Lance Whitney, CNET News. Again an embedded Webpage serves to suffice with Live Statistics Updates as the Data changes:

It’s stats like these that are of interest to Computer Repair Technicians like myself. You can not only play with the Data set and adjust it, but based on these real-time stats, you can also adjust what type of software tools you carry in your tool bag. What it simply means is that I have to start walking with copies of Windows 8.1 and getting to know more about this new OS

This as if it’s gaining in popularity as I’d predicted in my blog article entitled “Apple rumoured to be making a Laptop sized Tablet with a Built in Keyboard - Windows 8 Microsoft Surface and Chromebooks Barbarians after Bill Gates Rising Tide”, it’s only a matter of time before Windows 8 Tablets such as the Microsoft Surface begin to gain traction in Jamaica, especially as Christmas 2013 was so good to them.

As for me……I’m downloading and burning copies of Windows 8 in anticipation of the Rising Tide of the Microsoft Surface and Windows 8.1 Tablets. Also it mightn’t hurt for me to learn how to fix Tablets in General as this is the “Post-PC era” as predicted by CEO Steve Jobs, signs of which I’m already seeing in the wild!
