Apple iPhone 5 Event on Tuesday October 4 - Let's Talk iPhone as Android Dominance Looms

There’s a good time coming, boys
A good time coming

Charles Mackay, The Good Time Coming

It’s now official. Apple’s big day is on Tuesday October 4th 2011AD to begin at 10AM PDT at their Cupertino, California Headquarters located at Infinite Loop Drive. The Apple invites to select media groups has been sent out with the tagline “Let’s Talk iPhone” and the rather cryptic logo as stated in the article “Apple holding iPhone 5 event on October 4”, published SEPTEMBER 27, 2011 8:20 AM PDT By Don Reisinger, The Digital Home - CNET News.

So it looks like AllThingsD’s John Paczkowski was in indeed correct when his sources told him the very same info as stated in the article “iPhone 5 to debut Oct. 4, ATD says”, published SEPTEMBER 21, 2011 4:26 AM PDT by Stephen Shankland, DEEP TECH - CNET News.

The lemmings and Apple faithful can start gathering for what may be a visit to the Cathedral located on Infinite Loop Drive, most appropriate, as their products seem to be on an infinite refresh cycle. Starring the new Apple CEO Tim Cook and what may be his “cook” notes, assuming he and Chairman Steve Jobs have the same presentation style.

I already know why there will be no LTE 4G chipset; no SOC (System on a chip) versions to save on circuit board space exists, meaning that Apple will introduce 4G LTE in the Apple iPhone 6. There is STILL the possibility of two (2) Apple iPhones, based on the deliberate utterances of former Vice President Al Gore and Apple Board member , who spoke at the Discovery Invest Leadership Summit in South Africa, saying quote: “Not to mention the new iPhones coming out next month. That was a plug.”

As per the speculation of CNET News Editor Josh Lowensohn in his article “A translation of Apple's iPhone event invite”, published SEPTEMBER 27, 2011 11:37 AM PDT by Josh Lowensohn, Apple Talk - CNET News, the event may see some significant changes to the Apple iPhone.

Based on my previous blog articles, the changes within the Apple iPhone 5 I am expecting are:

1.      A5 Dual-Core Processor as in the Apple iPad 2
2.      PowerVR SGX543MP as in the Apple iPad 2
3.      Memory upgrade to 128GB
4.      A significantly improved Voice Control
5.      Improved Notifications system upgrade made official on par with Android phones
6.      Support for NFC (Near Field Communication) and its use for casual purchases and high speed Data Transfers as per my blog article entitled “Telecom Provider, Apple, Google and NFC - In Her Majesty's Secret Service
7.      Support for CDMA (Code Division Multiple Access) and GSM (Global System Mobile) Voice Platforms as enabled by the Qualcomm chipset in the Telecom Provider Verizon version of the Apple iPhone 4 noted in my blog article entitled “Verizon and the Apple iPhone 4 - The Golden Fleece”.
8.      iCloud Integration into Apple iPhone 5 as prior prognosticated in my blog article entitled Apple and the Cloud Phone - Cheaper by the Dozen and Up in the Air”.
9.      Improved 8.0 Megapixel Camera
10.  Official FaceTime support over 3G as opposed to over Wi-Fi (IEEE 802.11n)
11.  Better Battery Life, upwards of five (5) days full usage via the inclusion of integrated solar panels into the design as per my blog article entitled “Apple iPhone 5 and its Design - Of Gods, Critics, Lemmings, Sheep and Men
12.  Support for Ubeam's Ultrasonic Power Transfer Technology as stated in my blog article entitled “uBeam's Perry & Dweck Ultrasonic Power Transfer - Rafe Needleman's Hidden Village of Sound”.
13.  Liquid Metal trimmings in the design inclusive of the same External Loop Antenna Design as stated in my blog article entitled “Apple iPhone 5 and its Design - Of Gods, Critics, Lemmings, Sheep and Men
14.  Apple iPhone in other colours than White or Black.

Then there is the Apple iPhone 4S, expected to be a lot cheaper, possibly to be Cloud-based and to be sold without a Contract as a means of wooing the uncommitted “feature” phone owners interested in a budget Apple iPhone, but requiring a Data Plan as per my speculations in the Geezam Blog article Towards a cheaper Apple iPhone – Batteries Not Included” and my blog article entitled Apple and the Cloud Phone - Cheaper by the Dozen and Up in the Air”.

Somewhat similar to the Alibaba smartphones running their Cloud-Based Aliyun OS as per my blog article entitled AliBaba and the Cloud-Based Aliyun OS - Lady Gaga's Low-Cost smartphone”.

I for one am expecting news on the fate of the Apple iPod line of products and its cousins, seeing as the Apple iPhone has effectively rendered them pointless frivolities as per my blog article entitled “Apple iPhone and Hardware Quality - The Count of Monte Cristo Hard Knock Life”. The Apple iPod Touch may survive, having made the transition to FaceTime and thus possessing some use as a Video Calling Device.

Also, word on the Apple iPad 3, which some speculate is around the corner, is also in the offing as Android Dominance in both smartphones and Tablets looms as per my Geezam blog article entitled “Android Tablets gain on the Apple iPad – Here Comes the Hot Steppa”!

All this and more we will learn as we talk about the Apple iPhone on Tuesday October 4th 2011AD at 10am PDT, with improvements to “wow” the uncommitted just in time for London Olympics slated for July 27th 2012AD.
