Flappy Birds is No. 1 Free Game on Apple iTunes and No. 2 on Google Play Store - Flappy Birds is Wonder Woman's Nemesis Ares Armour fuelled by Rage which only Meditation avails

Flappy Birds, a pixilated throwback to the 90’s Arcade Games era when Nintendo Super NES was the console to have, is now at pole position on the Apple ITunes App Store charts as well as holding on to the No. 2 spot on the Google Play Store as noted in the article “How 'Flappy Bird' Went From Obscurity to No. 1 App”, published 4 February 2014 BY KARISSA BELL, Mashable.

Despite this the game has some impressive metrics, based on the article “Indie smash hit 'Flappy Bird' racks up $50K per day in ad revenue”, published February 5, 2014 06:16 pm By Ellis Hamburger, The Verge:

1.      US$50,000 in earnings per day from ad revenue alone
2.      50 million downloads thus far
3.      47,000 reviews in the App Store

This puts Flappy Birds in the same category as other more noteworthy apps that took months to develop such as Evernote and Gmail. With such a clever yet simple formula, it's no wonder that Dong Nguyen has no intention to change the formula of ad-subsidized free game, quote: “Flappy Bird has reached a state where anything added to the game will ruin it somehow, so I'd like to leave it as is. I will think about a sequel but I'm not sure about the timeline”.

Incredibly, its creator, a publicity shy naturalized Vietnamese citizen who goes by the innocent name of Dong Nguyen, is an accidental genius. Apparently DotGears, his Game Development Studio, spat this evil upon us in less than three days, it experienced a surge in December 2013 and it began its meteoric rise to superstardom in the last week of January 2014 on both the Apple iTunes and the Google Play App Store.

His other games Super Ball Juggling and Shuriken Block, have been propelled up the Apple iTunes rankings as well, coasting to 2nd and 6th place respectively as of Wednesday February 5th 2014 at 8:04 pm EST….the exact time of writing this very line!

Apparently this Angry Birds homonym merely makes one angry with this apparently hapless, helpless and very stupid bird, its success purely fuelled by the pure blind rage of its frustrated and clearly addicted players as condensed in the article “Flappy Bird is not the new Angry Birds – it's pure rage”, published February 5th 2014, The UK Guardian.

Launched back in May 2013, it self-propelled itself to app superstardom on the basis of how annoying it is to play what’s effectively a really frustrating retro game, based on the article “Flappy Bird is the embodiment of our descent into madness”, published February 2, 2014 10:00 AM PST by Nick Statt, CNET News

Believe me, it was very hard finding anyone with a rational angle on the game, based on the cumulative anger expressed online in the article “The maddening pull of 'Flappy Bird”', published February 5, 2014 -- Updated 2258 GMT By Heather Kelly, CNN. The negative Rhetoric is even worse on YouTube, with even highly educated folk taking great pride in reaching scores in the double digits as per this example…of which many exist!

EVERYONE seemed to decry its popularity as proof of the apparent decay of Americans so desperate for entertainment that they fill their spare moments with mindless entertainment that borders on torture as opined in “'Flappy Bird' Review: Winged Fury”, published 2/03/2014 @ 11:06AM by Paul Tassi, Forbes.

This again, as this must be repeated, is mainly due to the difficulty in achieving it simple task; flying an almost wingless bird through a maze reminiscent of Super Mario Brothers as excellently psycho-analyzed in “Flappy Bird And The Power Of Simplicity Scaled”, published 2/03/2014 @ 10:57AM by Anthony Wing Kosner, Forbes.

Hint: You need to focus all you thoughts onto the very tip of your finger and concentrate. Medication can help with this, otherwise all you’ll get is either a broken smartphone or sore fingers after a few minutes,…then hours…or fruitless tapping to keep him in the air and make it through the barriers.

The more pipes you manage to navigate the bird through, the higher you score. Apparently it may have other levels and hacks do exist…but that would be spoiling it for you now wouldn’t it? Still, here’s the cheat, if making it up the leaderboards is that important to you!

If you’ve read my blog articles on how to play smartphone Games such as Candy Crush Saga and Rovio Juice Cubes on your PC using BlueStacks App Player as  explained in my blog article entitled “How to download Candy Crush Saga and play it on your Desktop or Laptop - BlueStacks App Player to the Rescue of the non Post-PC Era people”, then you know what to do.

Just be prepared to be frustrated to annoyance as Flappy Birds frustrates you to tears, causes you to chuck away your smartphone….and mysteriously get addicted as you whittle away hours trying to get the bird to just make it through the first 3 obstacles! Summed up, Flappy Birds is Wonder Woman\s (1975–1979) Nemesis Ares Armour fuelled by Rage which only Meditation avails.
