It’s
coming up to Christmas folks and Tablets are now the gift of choice. Not like
last year when it was smartphones as noted in my blog article
entitled “Jamaicans
falls in love with Digicel's DL600 and DL700 during Christmas 2013 - Sub-US$100
smartphones driving rapid smartphone adoption in Jamaica as Manufacturing is
Possible”.
Plus
globally, with the trend towards super sized smartphones, a trend even the 5.5”
Apple iPhone 6 Plus is following as noted in my Geezam
blog article entitled “Apple
iPhone 6 and Plus with 128GB Storage and Apple Pay is Biggest iPhone Launch”.
Despite
the strong statistical evidence, I’m still thinking this phablet trend is just
a fad that’ll fade once people realize that these smartphones are a tad
unwieldy as noted in my blog article
entitled “IDC
and NPD Group record Tablet Decline and Phablet Rise - “White Box” Chinese
Tablets and Wearable Computing in First Quarter of 2014 making Tablets obsolete
in the Year of the Sheep”.
So is there a 7” Tablet in your future, especially now that cheaper Chinese Tablets running Google Android are on the rise. Good to note that these are all 7” Tablets, a trend that Apple has also jumped onto back in 2012 when the Amazon Fire Tablet challenged their Tablet supremacy as concluded in my Geezam blog article entitled “The Two Towers of Tablets, 7” Amazon Kindle Fire and 7.9” Apple iPad are the Global Tablet size of Choice”.
