P2P Betting & Gaming Entertainment sponsors Clan Pro Circuit - How Jamaican E-sports leads to Video Game Developer Communities

“Post-to-Post is about gaming entertainment and when one considers the staggering statistics for E-Sports globally, it naturally follows that we put our support behind the team with the vision to organise and lead what many may believe is an idle hobby”.

E-sport, which involves professional and amateur video game players vying for trophies and prizes like any other sport, hadn't been getting much attention in Jamaica.

But it's slowly rising it prominence thanks to the CPC (Clan Pro Circuit) Video Game Tournament as explained in my blog article entitled “Wayne Benjamin's Clan Pro Circuit Video Game Tournament – How E-Sports can work in Jamaica despite no Video Game Development Competitions”.

Wayne' Benjamin's CPC (Clan Pro Circuit) Video Game Tournament recently scored a landmark sponsorship deal with P2P Betting & Gaming Entertainment, the first of its kind in Jamaica as reported in the article “Tech Times: E-Sports Boosted By P2P Betting And Gaming Entertainment”, Published Monday November 9, 2015, The Jamaica Gleaner.

With the CPC season finale of their 2015 Gaming season, dubbed 'Mash Di Button' to be held at the Shirley Retreat Hotel, 7 Maeven Avenue, Kingston 10, on Saturday, November 29th, 2015, and this deal seem set for the long haul.

Good to note here that Wayne Benjamin is no longer a part of CPC, albeit he still hosts the Cable Channel show for the CPC Video Game Tournament. It seems he’s has a parting of ways with Gregory Moore and Andrew Johnson, the principal founders of the Video Game Tournament!

P2P Betting & Gaming Entertainment apparently wants to be a part of the action, possibly being able to have punters place bets on star video game players as many are already famous.

To quote CEO of P2P Betting & Gaming Entertainment Sandra Donaldson, they want in, quote: “Post-to-Post wants to be a part of bringing this exciting phenomenon to Jamaica and looks forward to the continued success of the Clan Pro Circuit team in staging their series of E-Sports gaming events”.

Globally e-sport is on the rise, slowly gaining recognition abroad, the main reason why Amazon purchased Twitch, the game streaming website for some US$970 million on Monday August 25th 2014 as reported in my blog article entitled “The E-Sport Phenomenon and Amazon's Twitch Aquisition - How Amazon’s Twitch creates Video Gaming Celebrities and jumpstarts Jamaican Game Development”.

P2P Betting & Gaming Entertainment knows this and is aware of the emergent trend of Video Gaming Tournaments in Jamaica, which is already attracting hundreds of gamers.

At the rate global projected growth is moving, we might even begin to see Video Gaming developement take root here in Jamaica as noted in my blog article entitled “Prof. Joseph Saulter's Digital Game Design and Development Conference - US$112 Billion Video Gaming Industry may be Jamaicans Next BPO”.

Thus to them a bet on CPC (Clan Pro Circuit) Video Game Tournament is a bet on a future entertainment medium that can potentially make money from them as a younger generation gets hooked to watching competitive Video Games as a sport to quote CEO of P2P Betting & Gaming Entertainment Sandra Donaldson: “At Post-to-Post, our goal is to continuously improve and enhance the gaming entertainment experiences we carry to our customers by bringing them new and exciting products. This partnership represents yet another fulfillment of this goal”.

Still have my fingers crossed for the developement of Video Gaming Developer communities in Jamaica, something which a Video Gaming Developer Competition can help to pollinate in the minds of Jamaicans. But for now, E-Sports slow rise will help to feed to passion that local gamers have for what many consider a couch potatoes sport!
