Google Glass Designer Isabelle Olsson Leopard frames on Google Glass - Smart + Sexy = Smexy Tablet and smartphone

Smart + Sexy = Smexy

Comment by Audia Michelle Granston (1982 – 2010) at her TJ Beauty Salon during a debate in April 2009 about Technology

Since their debut, Google Glass has not had much of a very good welcome by the public, mainly because they don’t look like something the everyday persons would like to seen in public wearing. After all, the product is still in its explorer stage, with its intrepid users being call as such – Explorers.

But a year has now passed and we’ve reached the stage where we need to see a more fashion conscious product going forward if this is to become the next big product from Google. Google Glass should have begun to appeal to the masses instead of just being a curio in a runway stint as part of Diane von Furstenberg Collection at the New York Fashion Week held on Saturday September 9th 2012 as stated in “What a sight: Google Glasses adorn models at NY fashion event”, published September 10, 2012 7:14 AM PDT by Lance Whitney, CNET News.

Granted Google Glass was recently the toast of beauty magazine cover of Vogue in August 2013 as stated in the article “Google Glass gets a spread in Vogue magazine”, published August 16, 2013 9:49 AM PDT by Eric Mack, CNET News, but that’s upmarket; I’m talking the regular guy who currently totes a smartphone or a Tablet. Google Glass in its current incarnation doesn’t appeal to them as yet – until now, as Google’s showing signs of the Eye of the Tiger Katy Perry Roar Style!

Enter Isabelle Olsson, the Google Glass Lead Industrial Designer, who recently posted this picture on her Google+ page showing Google Glass Marketing Manager Amanda Rosenberg posing in some more fashionable frames as described in the article “Google Glass gets a fashionable makeover”, published August 29, 2013 9:50 AM PDT by Eric Mack, CNET News.

She may also be secretly developing a new form of Whitening Technology for teeth that requires no toothpaste to cure Dental Caries among Googlers. Google Engineers, it seems, apparently may be eating too much Candy while pulling late-late all nighters Coding. Preferably something Natural (blue mark toothpaste) and chewy, like KitKats and not artificial (Red and Black mark Toothpaste)! #GeniusIdea #GoogleWhitening

This as it has been revealed that Google has named their latest iteration of the Google Android 4.4 KitKat i.e. Google KitKat, making it the first product placement Mobile Operating System in the World as stated in my Geezam Blog article entitled “Google Android 4.4 is now KitKat as Nestle-Google Secret Deal makes Android the first Product Placement OS”.

It’s still my prediction that Google Glass will replace smartphones and Tablets as can be seen from the sudden crush of competitors coming out of the woodwork as stated in the article “A LOOK AT ALL THE GOOGLE GLASS COMPETITORS IN DEVELOPMENT”, published August 22, 2013 By Simon Hill, Digital Trends and “Smartwatches are going to make smartphone screens obsolete”, published September 7, 2013 By Rob Enderle, DigitalTrends.

Google Glass Cometh - What will be the signs of this coming trend?

We are currently in a Post-PC Era, as first enunciated by former Apple CEO Steve Jobs in 2010 at the launch of the Apple iPad in 2010 as stated in my blog article entitledApple iPad in the Summer of 2010 - The Death of the Video Game Consoles”. The Apple iPad and her Tablet Children from Google Android are now killing off Printers, Video Game Consoles and even the humble Mouse as concluded in my Geezam blog article entitled “How the Apple iPad killed Ultrabooks, Printing and the Mouse as the World Rediscovers Tablets”.

Since then PC Sales have been falling like Humpty Dumpty Sales as stated in “PCs suffer longest sales decline in history”, published 11:50PM BST 10 Jul 2013 by Andrew Trotman, The UK Telegraph and “The PC fights back: U.S. sales decline is slowing”, published Jul 15, 2013 3:00 AM by Brad Chacos, PCWorld.

Thus the task for PC Manufacturers to put the pieces back again in their once thriving Industry come down to introducing some new Technology that will woo them back to PC’s and Laptops. That comes down to new Hardware, as Software has reached its zenith and requires new Hardware to enhance its reach, ability and interaction with Humans in Natural Language.

1.      3D Motion Capture Technology e.g. Microsoft Kinect for Video Gaming and Leap Motion Controller for PC’s and Laptops and all those modeled after her kind
2.      Voice Commands e.g. Apple’s Siri and all those modeled after her kind
3.      Mind Control Devices e.g. IndieGogo funded Interaxion and their US$199 Muse Mind Controller as described in my blog article entitledInteraxion debut US$199 Muse Mind Controller at Le Web in France - Future Silver Lining Playbook for Gaming that'll Exercise the Windmills of Your Mind” and all those modeled after her kind

When these technologies are perfected and licensed to be used in PC’s, this’ll mark the development of the first Theremin Computer as predicted in my blog article entitledLeap Motion Controller went live on Monday July 22 2013 - How a Theremin Computer Device revives PC sales as Everything is Possible to be controlled by Voice and Motion”.

Portable PC and Game Consoles – Trend towards Cloud Computing

Already there is a trending towards such Portable computers that are BYOMKD (Bring your Own Mouse Keyboard and Display) as Dell, in the midst of its takeover battle, had unveiled its Project Ophelia, a portable Cloud Computer at CES 2013 as described in my blog article entitledDell's Project Ophelia debuts at CES 2013 - Cloud Computing is the Bling Ring of Power to kick Dell into the Portable Computing Game”.

Similarly in the Computer Gaming World is also going through a Portable Revolution with the Crowdfunded Boxer8's Ouya Gaming Console and PlayJam's Gamestick Consoles as described in my blog article entitled “Google Android powers Boxer8's Ouya, PlayJam's GameStick and Nvidia's Project Shield - Stand Up Guys are making Open Source and Open Architecture a $ellebrity”.

Now Google and even Amazon are rumoured to be interested in seeking success in Console Gaming by making their own Gaming Consoles, a move that parallels their forays in the Tablet and smartphone World as stated in “Google said to be creating game Console and smartwatch”, published June 27, 2013 3:45 PM PDT by Dara Kerr, CNET News and “Amazon may be revving up its own Android game Console”, published August 9, 2013 5:27 AM PDT by Lance Whitney, CNET News.

As was the case with 7” Amazon Kindle Fire and apparently the sudden proliferation of budget smartphones in Developing World Countries such as the Samsung Galaxy Y and the Samsung Galaxy Duos, Apple may be left with no choice but to make a Video Game Console as well. This time, their Video Game Console will be a product made from an existing product, the Apple iTV.

This Apple Video Game Console, which I’d like to call the Apple GameBox, will be twinned with their Apple Television Set that’s coming out in 2014, making it an irresistible offer for consumers as predicted in my blog article entitledApple to launch TV and a Cloud Gaming Console in 2014 - How the Apple iTV and Television Set can kill The Grandmaster in the guise of Nintendo, Sony and Microsoft”.

Google Glass and Smartwatches kill smartphones – Battery Struggles et al

At that point, possibly occurring sometime in 2014, these same technologies to be used to revive the PC and Video Game Console World, once miniaturized enough, will end up in Google Glass and Smartwatches. This includes the Samsung Galaxy Gear, which recently launched what I hope is just a prototype that they’ll adjust as described in my blog article entitledSamsung Galaxy Gear Launches Wednesday September 4th 2013 - Smartwatches specs need sub-US$199 and Stellar Battery Life to make a Getaway”.

The above mentioned Technologies are of no benefit to smartphones and Tablets, as you can already touch and swipe, a Natural Human Interaction. Even if smartphones and Tablets get the above, it’d be little used, as the main rant of smartphone users is not a lack or want for more gimmicky feature they’ll never use, but rather:

1.      Better Battery Life
2.      Lower Prices of unlocked devices
3.      Dual-SIM Phones and Tablets as predicted in my Geezam blog article entitled “Trend towards Dual-SIM Smartphones developing in Jamaica as MNP Approaches
4.      More Customization options similar to those being rolled out for the Moto X smartphone as described in my blog article entitledGoogle and Motorola Mobility launch the customizable Motorola Moto X  - Motorola Moto X is The Wolverine of Customization that’s Made in America
6.      Better crack resistant Screens such as the use of Sapphire Screens as described in my blog article entitledSapphire Screens for smartphones by Q1 2014 - Unscratchable Sign of Virgo is the Man of Steel to revive Jamaican Alumina Industry
7.      Faster Optical Processors as had been predicted in my blog article entitled “IBM develops 25Gbps Photonic Optical Processor at the 90nm level - IBM's Red Dawn (2012) for Optical Processors
8.      SSD (Solid State Drives) with storage above 64 GB and Processors to make a Tablet works as a Laptop with an attachable Keyboard Case

Thus it’s clear. Once 3D Motion Capture Technology, Voice Commands and Mind Control Devices rescue the PC and Video Game World, it’ll make the designers of the Google Glass and smartwatches realize that with the right miniaturized components, their product can be made to look like ordinary Glasses and Wristwatches and thus usher in the much vaulted Wearable Computing Revolution.

At that point, Wearable computers such as Smartwatches and Google Glass will make smartphones and Tablets obsolete by late 2015 as predicted in the article “Smartwatches are going to make smartphone screens obsolete”, published September 7, 2013 By Rob Enderle, DigitalTrends.

A World of Augmented Reality Games, Voice Commands and Air Gestures await us as prognosticated in my Geezam blog article entitled “Siri and Kinect: Heralds of a coming world free of Remote Controls, where interacting with Google Glass and Smartwatches will be more like talking to a person, which is Smart + Sexy = Smexy Katy Perry Roar!
