I’m referring to the whopping Supreme
Ventures Limited Super Lotto Prize which has no
ballooned to some JA$261.5 million as stated in “Super
Lotto at historic high”, published Monday, September 22, 2014 3:24 PM, The Jamaica Observer.

according to Vice-President of Group Corporate Communication at the Supreme
Ventures Limited, Sonia Davidson, this is the biggest Lottery prize in
Jamaica's history, both for Super Lotto or the regular Lotto.

last time the Supreme Ventures Limited Super
Lotto Prize was this high was on Tuesday September 28th 2011 when a
man from the parish of Manchester purchased a JA$150 ticket and won JA$232.2
million as stated in J'can
hits Super Lotto jackpot!”, published Wednesday, September 28th,
2011 The Jamaica Observer and the
article “Super
Lotto jackpot won in Jamaica”, published Thursday, September
29th, 2011, the
Antigua Observer.
The
winning numbers were 5, 11, 20, 22, 31 and the Super Ball number was 8. He’d
purchased these numbers with a JA$150 split prize ticket.
Had he
purchased a JA$250 full prize ticket, he’d have won the whopping sum of JA$387
million as noted in my
blog article entitled “Supreme
Ventures Limited and the JA$232.2 million Super Lotto Winner - Pointer Sister's
Automatic”. So technically his winnings of JA$232.2 million
stands as the highest anyone has won in Jamaica from Supreme Ventures Limited Super
Lotto.
A few Jamaicans
have won it since then, mainly from the rural parishes in Jamaica as chronicled
briefly in my blog article entitled “3rd

wait till March 28 2013”.
As for
regular Lotto, the largest prize ever won was by fifty four (54) year
old Farmer Mr. S. Gayle from Manchester who won a JA$240
million Supreme Ventures Limited
Lotto prize, which he eventually claimed on April 1st 2010 as noted
in the article “$240 million
jackpot claimed”, published Thursday April 1st 2010, The Thursday Star.
Back
then Mr. S. Gayle took
so long for to come forward that I even posited the idea of an Alert System for
winners to alert them that they’d won as noted in as noted in my blog article entitled “Supreme
Ventures and Mobile Phone Platform for gambling”. This as by the rules of
the Supreme Ventures Limited
for both the Super Lotto and the Lotto Games, you have a total of ninety (90)
days in which to claim your winnings.
If
you haven’t done so, the unclaimed winnings gets turned over to the BGLC (Betting,
Gaming and Lotteries Commission) and the GOJ (Government of Jamaica) CHASE Fund

Super Lotto Statistics – How to

For the
math oriented, the total number of combinations winning Super Lotto numbers is
1,947,792, due to having 36 numbers and 6
positions to play. You can thus easily write a computer algorithm to generate
all the numbers, but in order to win you’d have to purchase at least 50% of
them, costing you a whopping JA$243,474,000 if you purchase the numbers for the price of a JA$250 full prize ticket
to win the full prize.
An
alternative strategy is to form a Lottery Pool and play the numbers as a group.
You have a higher likelihood of winning as not only would you be playing a
