HP (Hewlett-Packard) has decided to launch a 14” Laptop
that runs on Google Android called the HP
Slatebook 14, totally shocking Microsoft and catching them off-guard as stated
in HP
said to ready Android laptop, following Chromebook push, published April

News and “HP
Slatebook 14 takes another stab at the Android laptop”, published Apr 28,
2014 7:24 AM by Jared Newman, PC World.
The
original report of this beauty appeared in “HP
SLATEBOOK 14, ANDROIDBOOK FULL HD CON TEGRA”, published 27 Apr 14 by Laura
Benedetti, Notebook Italia, which
should give those Italian speakers among my readership a chance to practices
reading and watching videos in Italian!
The
Specs for the HP Slatebook 14 as listed in the
article “HP’s
SlateBook PC isn’t a “PC,” it’s a 14-inch Android laptop”, published APR.

The
specs of this new Laptop are irrelevant, merely the concept i.e. a Laptop that
runs on Android, very similar to their first Android Laptop/Tablet Hybrid, the US$479
HP Slatebook x2 that made its debut in August
2013 as described in my blog article
entitled “Hewlett
Packard debuts US$479 HP Slatebook x2 in August 2013 - HP has stopped living in
The Spectacular Now and accepts Tablets have killed Printers”.
Here’s
the video in halting Italian!
Thus
it won’t be too long before HP releases a
Laptop that runs on Windows OS, Android OS and Google Chrome OS, effectively a
Tri-Booting Live-OS Laptop! The pent-up demand is certainly there, based on
traffic to my blog
article entitled “Microsoft
and Google kill US$599 Asus Transformer Duet TD300 - One Love Kickstarter
Project for Developers and Hardware Modders to Breathe life into The Art of the
Steal” suggesting someone Kickstart the idea of a Laptop that can SWACT
(Switch of Activity) between the different OS running simultaneously on one
Laptop or Computer!
Very
possible, a solution may soon come from the corporate, possibly Lenovo or even HP, seeing as how HP’s
been making mostly Chromebooks of late, the most recent being the US$279 HP Chromebook 11
as described in my blog article
entitled “US$279
HP Chromebook 11 with stylings mimicking the Google Chromebook Pixel - Low-end
Laptop with high-end specs and sub-US$300 pricing is a great Christmas present
for Millennials”.
HP Android Laptop –
Renaissance of the Dual-Boot Live OS Switching to balance Mobile and Desktop
Google
Chrome is already hurting Microsoft financially, as many PC makers are opting
to use Google Chrome OS to the point that Microsoft has had to reduce their
license fees for Microsoft Windows as stated in my blog article
entitled “Microsoft
cuts cost of Windows 8 Licensing by 70% - Low cost Windows 8 Tablets coming as
Microsoft is now Walking with the Enemy, Google OS”.
They
may soon have to start reducing the licensing cost on Windows Phone OS, as
Google Android is now slowly making headway into the PC realm.
The
first was the stalled US$599 Asus Transformer Duet TD300 that runs both Android
OS and Microsoft Windows and can switch between them in real time as described
in my blog
article entitled “US$599
Asus Transformer Duet TD300 to launch at the end of March 2014 - Dual-OS Tablet
Hybrid is the Muppets Most Wanted that gives the Best of Both Worlds, Hannah
Montana Style”.
This
was a project neither Google or Microsoft supported as stated in my blog article
entitled “Microsoft
and Google kill US$599 Asus Transformer Duet TD300 - One Love Kickstarter
Project for Developers and Hardware Modders to Breathe life into The Art of the
Steal”, which resulted in it getting the kibosh but possibly being revived
at a later date by Kickstarters.
Now
that HP’s making an Android Laptop, Devices
running Multiple Live-hot swappable OS such as Google Android, Microsoft
Windows and Google Chrome may not be so difficult to make anymore. This as with
many people lives revolving around Mobile Computing yet needing the Processing
power of a good ‘ole fashioned Laptop, spoiling customer with such choice was
only inevitable.
Microsoft
may now have to start looking into either lowering the price on their Microsoft
Surface Tablets to make them sell more, lowering the License on Windows Phone
Mobile or making Cheaper Tablets that are packing Windows 8.1 or Windows Phone
Mobile.
