Blackberry Passport coming in September 2014 - Squaring up again the competition in Portrait and Landscape Mode

We didn’t have to wait very long for the alledged Phablet that Blackberry was set to launch as I’d predicted in my blog article entitled “Blackberry to launch Phablet with Blackberry 10.3 by Fourth Quarter 2014 - Profitability in the Far East as Phablets, BBM 2.0 and Wearables are Trending in 2016”.

Introducing the Blackberry Passport as introduced in the article “With Passport phone, Blackberry says its hip to be square”, published July 8, 2014 5:58 AM PDT by Ben Fox Rubin, CNET News. As explained yet again in their posting on the Blackberry Developer Blog, the Blackberry Passport is apparently perfect for the working professional as it solves a rather curious problem about smartphones; Screen Rotation. Take a gander at their YouTube video that debuts the concept.

An as I’d predicted earlier and mentioned in the article “BlackBerry Passport phone on tap for September launch”, published June 19, 2014 7:46 AM PDT by Marguerite Reardon, CNET News it’s coming in the Fourth Quarter of 2014, September 2014 to be precise. Just around the same time as the launch of the Apple iPhone 6, I suppose, as I’d predicted in my blog article entitled “WalMart Sale on Apple iPhone 5S and 5C - Apple iPhone 6 expected in September 2014 and is worth its weight in Gold and Sapphires”.

Not sure if that’s really a big issue, as smartphones haven’t evolved to that level as yet. We mostly still use smartphones to play games, at least Teenagers (ages 13 to 17) and Milennials (ages 18 to 28) do. A for Generation X(ages 29 to 45) still trying to get a grip on the idea of even being productive on such a tiny screen, this device may be a godsend, as it has a physical keyboard.

No specs, prices or even details on when in September 2014 this will be available for us to oogle at and still be unable to touch, other than the fact that the screen is 4.5”. But its square aspect ratio and the fact it’s packing a physical Keyboard along with BBM 2.0 as stated in my blog article entitled “BBM 2.0 now with Voice and Dropbox Integration – WhatsApp beaten for sure as Free File Sharing and Voice Calling result in BBM Transcendence on Android and iOS” means that this smartphone is all about work and has until Christmas 2014 to see if we want to play with this under the Christmas Tree!
