Want
a Dell Tablet for the Christmas 2014 or even just for personal use. Well Dell’s
got a deal for you in what may be my shortest article ever!
Dell
Tablet that's running Google Android KitKat that costs JA$200? Then you're on
luck as Dell has a pair of pure Android 4.4 KitKat 7" and 8" Tablet
called the Dell Venue 7 and Dell Venue 8 respectively as per the article “Dell Venue 7 review: Simple
and affordble with stable performance”, published August 6, 2014, CNET Reviews.
There's
not much to tell about these tablets. The 7" Dell Venue 7 packs a
lightweight punch with a 1.6GHz dual-core Intel Atom Z3460 whereas the 8"
Dell Venue 7 comes in with a more powerful 2.1GHz dual-core Intel Atom Z3480
CPU roundhouse kick of a Processor.
Beyond
that, both Tablets feature the same specs; 16GB of internal storage, 1GB of
RAM, Bluetooth 4.0, and Wi-Fi 802.11 A/C. Standard headphone jack, Micro-USB
port and volume buttons on the top left corner that are flush with the sides
round out the design, with a microSD card slot accessible on the right edge
giving you that SD Card Storage boost up to 64GB.
Oh,
the pricing is different and is the first main talking point of these Tablets:
1. US$160
for the 7" Dell Venue 7
2. US$200
for the 8" Dell Venue 8
Packing
Android 4.4 KitKat, it's got full access to the Google Play Store and can do
Amazon Apps as well. Surprisingly well built with a textured plastic finish,
it’s very sparse on pre-loaded bloatware Apps, with only Dropbox and a
complementary 20GB free Storage on the Tablet. Not to mention slim and
lightweight when compared to other 7” and 8” Tablets on the market!
They
come in Red and Black, albeit the Red is for Americans only. But Jamaicans with
a Credit Card or Scotia
VISA Debit Card or CIBC VISA Debit
Card
can purchase this online as described in my blog article
entitled “How
to purchase items and subscribe to Magazines online and ship them to Jamaica”
and the Geezam blog entitled “How to ship things to
Jamaica after you’re purchase them online”.
